Jelly Legs

Hi all, my legs are like jelly today, I can walk but it's a real effort. I don't want to give in and it's very difficult because people don't understand why

I wobble so much, I'm sure they think I've been on the bottle!

I once got out of the car outside the doctor's and a man drinking from a bottle in a brown bag gave me the thumbs up. *sigh. do you use assistive devices? I found it difficult to do at first, but once I did and could move more easily, I got over my shame.

Hi, yes I do, but like to manage with a stick, my coordination isn't that good so I prefer to use the one instead of the two although I walk better with a rollator

the dreaded rollator :-) at some point it becomes about whatever helps us get around.

I am buying a Tall Rollator from amazon very soon. I believe it will help me walk around my neighborhood, because it is similar to pushing a shopping cart, which always makes me walk well. No stooping.

I call it my ‘bad day’ or an attack; I’m afraid is becoming the norm and was just going to try and find out on the net about the speed of progression. I see some on here use a stick. Never could I use one and now use a walker in the house. Dreading what may be next

The future?? Doesn't bear thinking about. Good Luck.

I have been using a stick for about a year. My partner took me to Rhodes, for a week, and guess what I left behind? it was very very difficult, not using one. I always take a stick with me, as apart from being a big help, It raises the "disabled" kind of question, and shows aurally to 99% of people, that THERE IS something wrong, even just a look from someone if you are seen to use a disabled toilet WITHOUT at least a stick can make one feel uncomfortable..... plus sticks are good in a restaurant 's to keep unruly kids in order ;-( (kidding)
