I hv been looking for a support group in my area for several yrs. We are few & far between physically, but this forum is a great way to network arnd the world. Here in US, I read that the NIH has granted 1M for ataxia research. A good step in the rt. direction.

I'm from Auckland. My wife has SCA3. We are supported thru' the MDA group. I know of a friend who has SCA3 and he is in Melbourne. I don't know whether there is any support in the region.

There is a group in NZ. We also find the muscular dystrophy association a huge help. All ataxia come under their care.
