havent heard of rehab for ataxia unless it is drug related but I believe that generally a healthy diet consists of Mediterranean style foods. For me it is essentially keeping weight down and optimum nutrition. Lots of useful advice on google search.

The foundation of the Mediterranean diet is vegetables, fruits, herbs, nuts, beans and whole grains. Meals are built around these plant-based foods. Moderate amounts of dairy, poultry and eggs are also central to the Mediterranean Diet, as is seafood. In contrast, red meat is eaten only occasionally

I've been in a rehab center 3 times. Makes a huge difference. It really helps. But it's very tiring. Very hard work, but worth it

My advice is to see a speech pathologist.

Good luck.
