I am new to this group, because of my balance problem, and not being able to walk about outside, the RAF is giving me an electric powerchair.....will my condition ever improve, or am I stuck with it.
No idea.: I am new to this group, because of my... - Ataxia UK
No idea.
Someone likes my post, but who?..... it would be good to know so I could interact with whoever it was, or must it remain a mystery.
I agree with you that going out can be a nightmare.
I think you are probably stuck with your ataxia but I suppose we find a way to live with it . Good luck
I joined this group only a couple of days ago, knowing nothing about Ataxia......I started reading about other people's symptoms, and realised I have had similar symptoms for quite a while.....I am taking my time reading through you're posts....I have no idea what sort of Ataxia I have but if I can be of comfort to anyone....I'm happy to help.....with due respects to you all, I will just soldier on with my problem because it seems there is no cure in the foreseeable future.....along with my other medical problems( too many to list) at 73 years of age I'm going to enjoy the rest of my life.
Unfortunately ataxia gets worse but I am afraid it is part of your life now. All you can do is fight it as best as you can. Stay fit and strong and until you cannot do something do not believe anyone. .Accept you will fall but try to use a walker to steady yourself, but do not rely on it. Stay upright. Good luck : )
