Having trouble walking

I am off work this week. My ability to walk went away. It has taken 4 days of rest to be able to move about again.

The German drug I am on, which I get from Sheffield Ataxia Center is wearing off.

I am slowly returning back to the way I was before I started taking the drug.

I contacted the Ataxia nurse at Sheffield and she is going to speak with the professor.

I am Just waiting on her calling me back.

In the meantime I will take my wheelchair into work next week, and use it to get about, when I am having a bad day

I have Gluten Ataxia. It helps to reduce and remove symptoms of Ataxia.

I tried Flunarizine, minimum dose for a short while. Have you noticed whether it caused weight gain 🤔

I’ve seen positive comments on other groups, but the downside was weight gain.

🙂 That was something I’d been warned about when it was prescribed, and I’m already struggling with weight gain..

Is it helping with your Ataxia?

I didn’t take it long enough to find out. Although I’ve read positive comments. The reason I stopped ..pain was really becoming an issue and I needed to get on top of that, so I started taking CBD Oil. I was concerned about any interaction, so I concentrated on the pain relief. That’s not to say my ataxia isn’t challenging, I find it restricting 24/7.
