Hi all, I get ice cold feet which I believe is a circulation problem that we ataxia so suffer from. I've seen advertised a circulation booster, I was just wondering if anyone had used it , with any success?

Ice cold feet
Mine too last nerve conductive test, one foot was 35 degrees the other 27. I don't have a circulation booster but I do use an electric foot warmer from lloyds chemist. Cost about £20 and is great for warning them back up. Although I keep my slippers on with mine as I found I went straight back to cold again if I didn't
these things are made to encourage people to part with their hard earned cash ! keep warm as the other post suggests and when you are looking at TV do foot exercises - heel toe exercise, rotation exercises etc and general exercise regime should help you - all the best Sylviaxx
Hi there,
I have never heard of this malediction. Do you have Reynolds Phenomena? Thats cold hands/feet, a n autoimmune thing. I would check this out. This belongs to an immunologist or a rheumatologist, I think. In any case, good luck and if necessary start with your regular doctor.
Hi NormanE
I have included a couple of links below to previous conversations on this topic which you may find helpful.

If you put 'cold feet' into the search box in the upper right corner of the screen you will be directed to other threads on this topic.
I hope you find something that is helpful to you. My feet get dreadfully cold (I have an idiopathic cerebellar ataxia) and I know how unpleasant and sometimes painful it can be. Good luck!
Harriet
Hi
I wouldn't bother with circulation boosters - I have been told by my consultant that my cold feet are due to ataxia, not circulation. Sometimes my feet are not actually cold to touch, but they feel cold to me
