Pesky shirt buttons

Today, to celebrate some warm weather here in the UK, I decided to wear a nice summery shirt. Unfortunately, said shirt has small buttons that I was horrified to find are very difficult to do up.

This is the first time in over 2 1/2 years I have worn a shirt with buttons and serves to remind me that, although my ataxia is quite mild, the little things in life can be quite challenging. Picking coins from my hand to pay for something in a shop also poses difficulties for me and having to put coins on the counter is just embarrassing!

I have acquired ataxia, caused by encephalitis and subsequent drug treatment.

After washing/drying my husbands shirts I've stopped trying to button them up. Too much frustration, and very sore fingers 🙄xB
