My 17 yr old son has Cerebellar Ataxia, diagnosed 2010, he still walks but uses a chair at time, his balance is awful but one obvious change over the last few years is his feet, he now has a a very high in-step and they are a very strange shape, they also turn in. has anyone else had similar problems with feet.

does your son see a neurologist, have you mentioned to them about his high in step?
Yes he sees a neurologist. I have mentioned it but she takes note but no action.
keep being persistant with her, ask her for reason why as I dont know if this occurs normally in cerebellar ataxia but if your concerned and she takes no notice ask at least to be seen by podiatrist or for a second opinion if you think you are not being listened to. partner has ataxia and he saw podiatrist when first diagnosed as part of his assessment when he saw physio and they assessed his walking together
