When I was 1st diagnosed with COPD about 7 yrs ago, a close friend of mine who is a retired doctor said had I been offered the "pneumo" jab. My own surgery had never mentioned this to me but where happy to give it when II asked.
Shouldn't all of us with COPD been offered or told about ?

Well I was and I've had it. They say it lasts for life, but my GP says its best to have it done every 10 years.

My Husband was offered & given it same day as his diagnosis. I suppose it depends on how 'on the ball' your GP or Resp Nurse is at your Surgery.
I was given one about 5 years ago and told its last for life ,and then in oct when I had my flu jap my gp said due to me age and health best to have every 5 years so got given one again
I was given one as soon as my copd was diagnosed. My husbad was given one also because of his age 75.
