I was out for a walk today and felt as if my lungs were on fire. Does anyone else get that feeling?

yes. my understanding of it is you reacting to something in the air... i use ventolin and that gets it down...or it just came to me if you have heartburn?

It was not heartburn but a very uncomfortable burning feeling in my lung. Will try try my inhaler if it happens again.

I get horrendous burning sensations when/if walking, especially when weather is cold or too hot. Nothing except resting eases it. Hope your inhaler works... don't work for me! I wrap a scarf round my nose and mouth to try and stop it happening. Good luck.

When I am walking outside in temperatures of 3 degrees or less then I have the feeling that my lungs are being 'vacuum packed' ! And sharp pains deep in my lungs. Does this equate at all to the feeling that your lungs are 'on fire'?

And do agree with WestWalesPaul, pop your mouth behind a scarf or high collar to ward of the cold air. Good luck. :-)

I get the burning at the back of the throat, in cold weather like today. I put it down to the inhalers. Also get burning lungs in the cold and find it hard to breath in and out. I think if you can carry on slowly its better in the long run.....but take care as you say it can be quite unpleasant...all the best.
