Well done and lucky you, I hear some wonderful comments about PH, living out in the wilds a bit I think PR is out of the question for me and no one has ever suggested it to me.
Libby

Hi, I am waiting to start PR too. Not sure what to expect yet. GOOD LUCK!
I'm waiting too, heard it's excellent so wish I'd get an appointment soon. Been waiting 4 weeks now and heard nothing!! I also had to ask my GP to refer me, even tho I'm classed as having severe COPD. Still working, altho off sick at present,6 wks now & don't think my employers are very happy!! Still don't feel well eno to return. All excellent reports about PR, just wish I could get a date to begin!! Good luck everyone, keep us all posted xxx
Hi all, thought I would share my PR experience with you. I too was not told anything about it at my local hospital. I found out myself about a dedicated centre at Rotherham called Breathing Space. I rang them and self referred. After an interview I was accepted into the system. I had two 6min walking tests one in oxy and one without. They prescribed home oxy for me at 6ltr per min with a conserver. The hospital refused me oxygen saying they didn't think it would be benificial. I then had a fitness test to asses my starting level. I attend the gym twice a week for an hour and gradually increase my exercise level under staff supervision . Sometimes I just don't want to go, but I always feel better after I've been. I can honestly say joining Breathing Space was he best thing I'd did. I can do much more now my fitness level has increased. So if it's not offered, ask for it.
Best wishes to all.

Really pleased probably should have had it ages ago, local hospital don't do it so it will be at the Freeman, may have a problem with transport but will sort something out Val x
