Pulmonary Rehab

hi all , eventually have been given a date/time (Monday ) for my PR assessment, hopefully after several attempts to contact the team , I got a call on Friday past. I do hope this will flourish as the last couple of times I got to this stage, answering questions, and then told someone would be in touch for a starting date? It never happened, so annoying.

so as you can imagine, yet again I await, hoping. Will let u all know . Trevor , Brighton

Best of luck with it, I have been asking for a couple of years now for pulmonary rehabilitation or to see a respiratory physio.

I have actually finally gone private, given an appointment in four days time with a respiratory physio from my local NHS hospital, who works privately one day a week.

She says that she will teach me the basic breathing exercises until I get assessed formally by the NHS assessment team and given a physio management plan.

To me it is all a bit weird.

good luck Trevor 😊I hope this is successful for you. I’ve just finished my pulmonary rehab course last week and it’s one of the best things I’ve done! Met some wonderful people, learnt a lot and have seen some good results. Just have to keep it up now! I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

My husband has recently completed the course and it really helped. He now has techniques to cope with breathing problems and is more confident. His biggest problem was because he is deaf, awaiting appointment with audiology for over a year, he missed some info, but it was in a reference book he was given. Good luck, and I hope you start the course soon.

I've asked my GP to be referred for Pulmonary rehab. (PH) but have been informed that the local Health Authority don't do PH.
