Colomycin Shortage

Hi

Is anybody else having trouble obtaining their Colomycin? I have the 1 million and the chemist has told me there is a manufacturing problem.

Luckily I have a telephone appointment tomorrow with my consultant and I am hoping they will be able to help. The Hospital pharmacy has the 2 million, so I might have to go with that.

It's a bit worrying when I seem to be on an even keel and I don't want to change anything.

HiMy consultant was very good and will be sending a script to Boots within the Hospital. It had to be a Hospital script, not just one from the doctors. They have the 2 million, so will just take half in the morning and half in the afternoon. It means an 18 mile trip there but as long as I get the Colomycin we don't care.

I will ring tomorrow afternoon and make sure it is there and then we can go and collect Thursday.

I only hope they sort the supply issue with the 1 million out, but the Consultant has said I can always ring and she can get another script issued.

I have always thought what if there comes a time when you can't get your medication, but maybe its best not to go there.

My consultant is issuing a script to the Hospital pharmacy for the 2 million. Fingers crossed they will sort out the issue with the 1 million.
