A quiet sunny afternoon now that we have had 30 minutes table tennis, so time for a sit down.

A couple of evenings ago we were walking the dogs about 9.30 and very dark on our lane when I heard a sort of growl. I turned to see a Wild Boar looking at me. I duly growled/shouted back and much to my delight he turned tail and disappeared into the darkness. I didn`t take any photos as no wish to prolong the encounter.

However, last night we came across this little chap, making his way across the road and into the undergrowth. This time I held the two torches and my wife took the photo. She also took a video but I suspect at 20Mb too big to put on here, so the photo will have to do.

Hope you`ve all enjoyed some sunshne today, it does make a difference. Chris.

Oh my word weren't you brave facing off a wild boar, yikes think I would have fainted or ran lol. Love the look of this little lizard and wonder if its colour is a warning to keep away x

I didn`t realise I`d put a photo of myself on the site. But in other news, the yellow and white chap is a Fire Salamander. Have a good afternoon, I`ll try to remember what my wife asked me to do while she is at her art class.

I have to confess to being quite relieved when it turned and ran, my days of running are certainly not today, and not where we live. Steep hills either up or down. Wife now back from art class, so time for table tennis while the sun is still warm.
