We had a wonderful time in the New Forest, inspired to visit by Blackbird's awesome photos. We sauntered gently through the forest and my mind was totally absorbed by the natural wonders on offer. I got overexcited seeing a stag, with antlers! And equally excited everytime the ponies mooched across the road.π We do have horses, sheep and cows here but only escapees wander onto the roads. We packed so much into our few days. So much so that one night I got completely ready for bed, climbed in, took off my watch to discover it was only 8.30! Snuggling down I had a lovely, long restful sleep.π€

Lovely photo Karenanne, glad you had a good time. Xxxβ€οΈ
Hi, so glad you enjoyed New Forrest. I donβt live near it but have visited several time, and itβs so lovely and different to other places. x
How wonderful Karen. It's so nice to see someplace different and feel that happy tiredness at the end of the day. A beautiful photograph. Thank you for sharing. xx π
What a wonderful break you've had in the New Forest. You must be feeling so refreshed after that.
Yes. But then we visited our godson who has three siblings (All four of them under 10!) who all wanted to play! I now have yellow, blue and pink nails after one of the games involved me being a make up model. I had to decline gymnastics on the trampoline!π
Love the picture. I can remember being a hair dresser's model for my older niece when she wasn't quite a teen. I sat on the floor by the sofa while she brushed and styled my long hair for what seemed like hours...
Ahh thats just lovley to hear
Im so glad you visited and equally pleased you had the best time .
Theres nothing better than quality time spent mooching in the forest and seeing and hearing everything it has to offer ...I have lived here 40 years and still adore it daily .
Come again soon and again so pleased you enjoyed it ππ
Next time meet for lunch or a coffee βοΈ
We would love to return. We were able to completely unwind. I'm definitely up for coffee/lunch when we return!
Im absolutely thrilled you enjoyed it look forward to your next time π₯°
I can remember staying on the edge of the New Forest at Easter. We had a new ten foot caravan for five of us. Three young Children and two adults. We managed fine. We woke up the next morning and looked out of the window and it had snowed overnight. There was a forest of tall fir trees a little way a way. They were covered in snow. It was beautiful.
I too was inspired to visit earlier this year. Blackbird9 was kind enough to give advice on where we should visit and her advice was spot on. Loved seeing the donkeys who own the village. Hacketts pond is just so calm, relaxing and beautiful. Iβm so pleased you have also been able to enjoy this β€οΈ
Blackbird certainly has 'the knowledge ' when it concerns the forest! We stayed in Lyndhurst which is beautiful in itself but ideal as a base for visiting other places of interest such as Beaulieu.
I will need to arrange bus tours πππ
That's a brilliant idea!π
we also stayed in Lyndhurst. An excellent base for getting around from.
Lyndhurst is lovely. Lots of tea rooms! I was pleased to be able to visit the grave of Alice Liddell in the local church, as a child she inspired Lewis Carroll to write Alice in Wonderland.
I didnβt know that about Alive in Wonderland. Lyndhurst is lovely and so friendly. Do you think that Blackbird9 secretly works for the tourist board? If she does sheβs very good at her job. π
ππππ never π
So pleased to read you had a good time and what a lovely photo, thanks for sharing x
Love the photo. Never been to New Forrest but definitely on my list now π
It's Faerie. They get very annoyed when people mis-spell their name.
Oh no! I hope they, and you, forgive me.βΊοΈπ§ββοΈ
You stand corrected now πππ
That's a lovely photo. Glad you had a lovely time. xxx
Much of my youth was spent walking around the New Forest. I hope you managed to visit Burley Village!
