Feeling bit sorry for myself with this fluey cold that is affecting my chest a bit. Tomorrow i’m starting my rescue pack of prednisolone, so hopefully any inflammation will quickly clear up. Doctors are obviously closed til friday.
My oldest daughter is a pharmacist dispenser and says it’s safe to take prednisolone with my trelegy inhaler. Both have steroids.
Sorry to moan, it’s just quite comforting to ‘talk’ to people on here who understand.
I hope you all managed a good christmas day. And i wish you all as well as can be and a peaceful new year.

Just so you don't feel too alone .... medically/healthwise ... I've had the worst Christmas in my living memory. A week ago I had to make a 145 mile round trip to hospital to get a quick Lung Function Test done - Spirometry with Reversibility - hopefully they are just looking for Asthma. My breathing is shot at the moment, even moving around the house is hard work, short of breath and breathlessness, not forgetting coughing.
Surviving with a 'blue inhaler' at the moment ... be about another week before test results come through. Hopefully this is the last lot of tests having already had blood tests and Chest x-rays. Grrrrr !
Anyway, hope you too managed a great Christmas Day and good wishes for the New Year.
Sorry you're in such a bad way at themoment. Hope it starts to clear pretty soon and that after all those tests, the medics can give you appropriate treatment.
I hope you’re feeling better soon. I’ve had the worst 2 months healthwise. Was in hospital 2 days with exercabation and flu. Finished the bad boy drugs and felt good. No nasal problems and cough nearly disappeared only for the week before Christmas to come down with something else. Currently coughing again, fuzzy head and lots of catarrh.
Thank you for your reply. I am sorry you still are not too good. It’s awful to feel so poorly especially at Christmas. I hope you will soon be much better.
Hi Collie4 - This happened to me about three weeks ago - Day two I had to take my rescue pack. I took Pred with Fostair which has streroid in, but doses in inhalers are small in comparason to Pred. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Hi I had this thing that’s going around. I think mine turned to pneumonia. The Dr prescribed Prednisolone and Doxycycline straight away. It was a bit worrying for a couple of days. I’ve improved a lot now but still coughing well. Mine started nearly a month ago. It’s certainly hanging on. I’m on a Luforbec inhaler which is steroid and the same as Fostair.
