Check-up tomorrow

Hi Gang, hope you are all keeping safe and well. Another trip tomorrow to the lovely people at Papworth Hospital for a checkup. Not been too good the last month and a rough couple of days, first day out of bed today and managed to keep down some toast. Hope I can manage it tomorrow as I need some answers. Still on Prednisolone amongst other tablets but feel my condition is worsening. Anyway only one way to find out. Sorry about the rant, just feeling a bit low at the moment. Take care my lovelies. xxx

Hi Dedalus, I'm lucky enough to have my lovely husband John drive me, We're in Essex so it takes about an hour and three quarters to get there. I found today that I couldn't wear my 'shield' mask, had to use a hospital one but managed ok. Don't like leaving my pets for so long either and today was unavoidable. I'm thinking next time of asking an ex-cabby friend to take me although John would rather be there. Take care x

Hi aunttomany, I was supposed to go back in October and it was only when I rang them last month that I got the appointment. It might be worth a phone call to the hospital. Hugs xx

Hi there, was a very long day but I felt happier about my condition, and about going back in a month to hopefully try different meds. I had an echocardiogram - never had one before, its like a scan they do for pregnant ladies but its of your heart and upper lungs (I think!) Very interesting, don't know what it will show but may be something new they do. Hope you sort your appointments out, I'm learning to just push a little bit sometimes as things do get forgotten or delayed. Best wishes xxx
