Hi all has anyone heard of Avenor ? My pharmacist at my surgery has changed seretide 250mg inhaler to this one ,so I thought contains exactly same proportion of medication as the seretide so I will swap over whilst I have some in reserve in case of an issue. 2 days in I have a sore throat, slight cough ,feels different in my throat generally and wears off quicker than 12 hrs. Anyone else had experience of it at all please.

Hi, Seems to me to be the same ingredients, I do wish they would stop trying to change what we know and trust.

Definitely my thoughts but I presume it's a cost cutting measure by gp budget ties

If it's not suitable ask to be switched back to Seretide. It seems they are doing this with nearly all inhalers x

Hi Izb1 I messaged them this morning and was told everyone in the surgery have been swapped over .no response to my concerns

They did this with Ventolin and so many people complained and insisted on going back to the original they had to relent and put people back. An inhaler is no good if it's not working for you. I suspect it will be the method of delivery they have messed about with due to so called climate change x

I had a chat today with the gp and she advised try using avenor in the morning and seretide at night for a few weeks to see if it needs some time to settle if not she will put me back on seretide, it definitely is a cost cutting method as 15.00 difference

I too think it is a cost saving change, I don’t like it as there is no counter.
