Hi everybody Ive been on this site for quite a while although not posted much I read all your posts which really help at times. I wonder if any of you have been offered the RSV vaccine, I had a email from my surgery offering me this so I spoke to my respiratory nurse and she advised me to ring the Royal Brompton just to check it was ok for me to take, they do recommend people with lung disease have it, I was wondering if any of you have had this vaccine and were there any side affects as when Ive had the covid vaccine I have ended up in hospital twice and laid up in bed on other occasions Quite poorly so am wary of having this.I have ILD and PMR/GCA and am on ambulatory oxygen of 6 ltrs. Id be so grateful for any feedback.

Not had RSV jab Wendy and Petes not been offered it. Maybe others have had it and will reply soon. Xxx
I have asthma, bronchiectstasis and ILD, and haven’t been offered the RSV vaccination. I’m not 70 but I do have a weakened immune system
Hi, I have noticed fairly recently that members have mentioned having had the RSV vaccination. Perhaps you could try the search box above, they may come up. Good luck. P
PS I think I shall have it if offered
Hi I had RSV vaccine last week , no pain at sight of injection and no side effects so far that was 5 days ago.
If I get offered this,I will accept it.its a nasty virus x
It was recommended to me due to ILD (also have PMR) and am 74 years old. My pharmacist said that side effects can be a sore arm and the vaccine is very well tolerated. He said some other things that I can’t remember but know that it was so informative at the time to make it a must do for me. I had no side effects from this vaccine.
