I have spent the morning asking for forgiveness and i made a critical error in judgement. I should not be in here trying to be funny cz i have made a mockery of this forum. Likr i stated..my mother was Scottish and ive been there...what a wonderful country steeped in tradition..some of the bravest ppl have been scots. And heres the onei like..Scotlands population is 13% redheads...please good people of the UK...i am apologizing from the bottom of my heart...never in a million years did i intentionally set out to offend anyone...thats not my nature.. this is sincere and i am beside myself for being so ridiculously degenerate in my way of not thinking on this matter...ive been lambasted and scolded for this and if you wish to keep on doing so ill just take it for it was me who did not think of the reaction when i placed my post up...i need this forum and i certainly dont want to lose the goodness of the UK...thank you for listening....jimmyr

I really haven't seen anything you have written to be offensive at all, but if you feel this to be the case then your apology shows you are a truly big man who deserves respect. Don't beat yourself up hun. You need this forum and we need you. Stop worrying - texts are easily interpreted in a way we did not intend.

I haven't seen anything offensive, but even if you did write something a bit "off" your apology is more than enough. don't worry so much....I think everyone on this site has days when they can't even think straight (or is it JUST me...hope not! ) You take care...and stop whipping yourself Main thing is that you should stay as well as you can

You didn't offend me but having spent the last two weeks listening to the referendum every time I switch on t.v. I come on this site to get away from it and be with people suffering from problems similar to my own. I love humour, but what is happening in Scotland isn't funny, whichever side wins.

We all make dumb comments from time to time especially when we're feeling crap.. Takes a big person to apologise. Then there's a culture thing, different senses of humour....
It's a monumental, very sensitive subject and quite emotional. I've no Scotish blood - although there is 'ginge' in the family so perhaps there is some. I for one feel sick about it. Tomorrow we'll know if the UK is no more.

Jimmyr, you have apologised so many times already, you do not have to do it again. It won't matter how much you apologise, there are still people who will not let matters rest - I have found this out myself! This site is not just for people with lung disease but for people with lung disease and thoughts about other notions they might have! We are not just "people with lung disease" we are people! Have a good day regardless of anything else!

Please stop worrying!!! I was born in Scotland, still live there and have spent nearly all my life in Edinburgh. I thought your original post was a bit ill-judged ie a bit insulting - but harmless. (Some people have posted openly racist stuff on here and your post was NOTHING like that.) And I'm not one of those people who believes they have a right never to be insulted! In any case, you've apologised (many times!) and I think it's clear that your apologies have been accepted.

I don't know whether you will get this or not, as you posted what you did and your apology a month ago. I have just been having a wander around older posts and found this. From all the replies you got I hope you have forgotten all about it, and have just carried on as usual. We all make blunders, or things come out in the wrong way, but you apologised for any offence you caused. I am Scottish and did not take offence at your opinion, and I am relieved that we are still a united country, just like we are a united family on HU. There are a lot more important things to worry about than what you said, so as I said, I hope you have forgiven yourself, and have stopped beating yourself up over it. Chill, my friend, chill.
