Hi

My Asthma has flared up . My lungs feel like they’re on fire and I am sometimes wheezy and have a chesty cough . I am taking my in healers as prescribed and want to start my rescue patch of prednisalone as per plan . However there is no dose started on the action plan . Any advice what I should take .

Hi Dominion, My rescue pack is Redisolone 6 tablets taken together once daily for 5 days, and I also have Amoxcillin one three times a day for 7 days.

hi, I have a rescue pack for my copd, and asthma, I take 6 x 5mg tablets all at once each day for 5 or 7 days. Hope that helps 😊

My prednisolone is 8 per day for 5 days my antibiotics dosage change as I dont always have the same one. You can look up the suggested dose on line and see the leaflet that should be in the box.Not sure were you are based but phoning 111 or a pharmacist could advice

The prescribed dosage for you is usually written on the label the chemist typed with your name on stuck ,to the packet the tablets were given to you in. Otherwise as Teddyd suggested. Hope you feel better soon

It would normally have the dosage on the packet of steroids. It depends on different factors, so if you are unsure you could always speak to the pharmacist where you got the prescription from, they should know your dosage.

Hi My steroid dosage is 6 x 5mg tablets all in one go for 5 days. I hope you feel better soon. I am on day 4 of my rescue pack and am starting to feel almost "normal" again!

I think we’re all different. In my rescue pack I have 6 days of amoxicillin and 7 days of Prednisolone at 40mg a day.

Rescue packs seem to vary enormously dependant on gp. Suggest you ring the pharmacy or even your nearest hospital. Generally speaking should be looking at 5 or 7 days @ 30 or 40 mg per day. Dependant on phlegm you may need some decent antibiotics, certainly suggest you get some advice ASAP as these things tend to worsen if prompt medication is not administered.
