How often can you fall back on the rescue pack! I last used one two months ago as I had very severe breathlessness, it really worked very well and relieved my symptoms, however about a week ago my breathing deteriorated .
I have another rescue pack but reluctant to use so soon after the last one.
Any comments would be much appreciated

Hi Maxiem, if you feel you need to use your rescue pack then do. I would also inform your GP and like Chriskho says keep an eye on the colour of your sputum.
Hi if you feel you need to use your rescue pack well I would do I have had to use mine a couple of times in the same month and let your doctor know maybe get a sputum test in so they know what bug you have and will give you the right antibiotic sometimes one dose doesn’t clear it take care
Over a eight week period I used my three times. Then for a eighteen month period never used it. You know normally when you have an infection. I normally ring my doctor for advice. It could be you need a different antibiotics or you need a longer dose.
Once your regular treatment is established by your consultant & GP they may allow you a an emergency prescription of usually antibiotic and prednisone. We use the 'script when caught short with symptoms of infections at say weekends, bank Holidays or when away from home.
I always used to get a chronic chest infection over Christmas and New Year so it was really useful then. My new-ish gp won't give me one grrrr
PS it takes a while to learn your own particular signs of when you need antibiotics or prednisone or both. P
You should use it as you need it. Waiting just means the infection can get much worse than it needed to. Your rescue pack it thear so you can treat flearups straight away
Usually take my rescue meds when breathless and sputum changes colour brown or green but watch the amount of times you take prednisolone they caused me to get osteoporosis
