Hi everyone.. I'm new to the group and hoping for some tips on managing COPD. I had been on the Trilegy inhaler and then a few weeks ago moved on to Trimbow. I'm not sure that it's helping ...if anything I'm more breathless than before.Has anyone else found this?

Questions about Trimbow
Good morning. Sadly all Inhalers don't help everyone. I was tried on Trimbow and started coughing a lot more after being on it for 3 weeks So went back to my Trelegy. I should speak to whoever prescribed the Trimbow. Brian
Thanks Brian ... I'll go back and explain to the doc after Christmas (if I can get to see one)... maybe something else would suit better
Warehouses are increasingly adopting automation and robotics to streamline repetitive tasks, such as packing, sorting, and inventory management. MLSDev's expertise extends to developing software solutions that power robotic systems, optimizing warehouse processes and reducing human intervention.
Hi and welcome. With inhalers it tends to be try and see. I went through at least 6 different ones before finding one that helped me. It's possible that the Trimbow doesn't suit you. After the Christmas break let your doctor or nurse know how you are feeling
Speak to your gp we are all different lots of people suit trimble I didn't. GP put me on fostair and it suited. I did my best with Trimbow but fostair is totally fifteenth.
I'm on Trimbow & don't find it helps anymore. Hoping my Dr will try me on something else. I also suffer with anxiety which doesn't help.
Have you been shown correct breathing techniques, most people only shallow breath using the upper chest muscles, it the diaphragm which is the main muscle for breathing. Practicing diaphragm breathing and have the out breath twice the length of the in breath can help if you get breathless. I have been prescribed a very low dose of Oramorph for my breathlessness, this is a standard NHS treatment and certainly helps me, might be worth mentioning to your GP if you are not already on it.
Hi my doctor prescribed oramorph not for my copd but for chronic pain due to osteoporosis fractures, however reading the accompanying leaflet with the oramorph it states ”do not use if you suffer with COPD”. I’m afraid I was worried about that!
Hi Angie, Oramorph used for pain relief is at a higher dose and higher doses can cause breathing issues. But the low dose for breathlessness does not also it doesn’t affect driving etc which the high dose can. There is NHS literature on the use of Oramorph and breathlessness, I initially declined oramorph when it was first offered due to my fear of addiction, driving ban etc. but after seeing the NHS advice and speaking to people with COPD who also took it I decided to give it ago
Hello Your Ladyship! I was on Trelegy a while back and after a time it wasn't helping anymore so I was prescribed Trimbow. After a day of not being able to breathe I switched back , but having been reassured I tried it again and it has been great! But as everyone else has said, we are all different.
I hope you and your doctor find something that suits you quickly
Happy New Year xx
