I haven't had much chance to look at the forum lately so thought I'd pop in now and wish everyone a Happy Easter!
Things have been busy - mostly in a good way but also had two funerals (one expected and one sudden death of a young man well known to our family), and several short notice hospital appointments with an hour's travelling each way on three different days! Then the schools were off and we were called on for a bit of grandparent duty (much enjoyed!) and there have been umpteen other things like several hours trying to sort out our energy bill, power of attorney and Vodafone issues!
Apart from that, things are going reasonably well - just haven't had much time to get on the lap top!
I hope you are all keeping as well as you can do and that you have a great weekend.

Easter greetings to you Moy and family. I'm watching an Easter morning service on TV, but the music is all a bit mystic and meloncholy, apart from the main traditional hymns. My remedy is to go outside into my small garden and spend a little time being thankful I'm alive!
There's something restorative about getting out and pottering in the garden, isn't there?! Had an hour out there myself this afternoon. Potted up some carnation cuttings and did a bit of dead heading. There has been a blackbird singing his heart out all afternoon! His song is beautiful. If I was a lady blackbird I'd certainly be wooed. 🤣xx Moy
I think it was yesterday when i was out, that I heard my first blackbird this year. It sure gladenned my heart. Right now my son (one month from being 16) is practicing chords on his guitar. That too is very relaxing.
It's just incredible how everything comes at once! Just when I thought I had the month planned out with some nicely spaced out breaks, they all got used up with unexpected and therefore, unplanned, events. We've had two funerals this month (both friends died on the same day but were cremated a week apart) but also have had two more since Christmas and another friend died whose funeral we couldn't go to as it was too far away. I was surprised that writing to his daughter took me so long to get right - and there was another afternoon gone (not that I begrudge the time - just that all my 'slack' got taken up.)
I think we have some breathing space now - I hope so, anyway! It's been nice to relax today.
