Every day is much the same when you have a lung disease
Inhalers, pills and mucus clearance until you feel at ease
Perhaps if you are daring you may attempt to check your sats
Though in my opinion those numbers are as reliable as cats
The pulse oximeter beckons if you dare to know the truth
Some are so sophisticated they can do it with bluetooth
Anyway our sats are over 88 and we are not yet blue in the face
So it,s time to climb those stairs but probably without much grace
The bathroom awaits but what perils await in there
A mirror that shows your looking old and with thinning hair
The shower is inviting though to enter it is quite hard
Cos if you've been on preds your packing too much lard
Anyway now you're squeaky clean and proud you achieved your goal
But you haven't got any breath left to clean out the plug hole
Down those wicked stairs you go to possibly break your fast
Or maybe you stayed in the bathroom to rid you of your past
The moral of this story is that we all encounter much the same
But the truth of the matter is that we have no one to blame
All we can do is struggle on and try and get through the day
Cos if we falter and lose our will to live there will be great dismay
Amongst the ones we love and in my case a little rescue cat
So we owe it to them to give it a go and that's really where we're at
I am sorry this is not as good as Master Po and Poems galore
And no doubt i will get replies saying please don't post no more
Have a nice Monday
