Trimbow not working
Hi Bobby,
I was advised to stay on Fostair 200/6 rather than move onto Trimbow as Trimbow contains less steroid than the Fostair 200/6.
Hi there, I use an inhaler called Rellvar Ellipta, works so well for me, tried fostair but couldn’t get on with it.
Best of luck.
Have you tried it for a good 2-3 weeks? They often take that long to work for a person, they're not immediate. Check the leaflet to see how long you need to persevere. All the best, P
I was trialed on Trimbow for 4 weeks. It was not nearly as effective as Fostair with Braltus inhaler. My GP switched me back to Fostair/Braltus and I began breathing easier. It was a similar experience with one member of my Pul Rehab group. I think Health Professionals are pushing Trimbow because it is less expensive than having 2 medications. It is worth asking for a trial on alternative medication.
Trimbow takes at least 2 weeks to work I was told last year when I switched in fact it was about 4 weeks when I really noticed a difference
I was told to go on Trimbow. Didn't agreed with me. Went back to my Fostair inhaler. Which is alot better.
I have a couple of friends who swear by Fostair. Unfortunately it didn’t work for me so I was changed to another inhaler, Duoresp Spiromax . They can take a couple of weeks or more to be fully efffective so I am waiting to see if it kicks in properly. Not everything works for everybody unfortunately but there is one out there for everyone. Good luck finding one that suits you.
