I am very aware that my diet leaves a lot to be desired and that I need to make sure that I am receiving all the vitamins that I need. What do the rest of you take( if anthing) ?

My GP advised me to take Vit D and multi vitamins as my diet is dreadful, so I've been doing that for 3 years now x

I was advised from a pharmacist years ago that Lamberts healthcare sold good quality vitamins. Holland and Barrett are not good apparently. Theres a lot of below quality out there.

I only take vitamin D and Pete takes a vitamin D and calcium tablet. I think a good multivitamin could help you. Xxx

What I am after is the actual names of the vitamins you take plus exactly where I can buy them. Thanks.

You should ask your GP to test your vit D levels. I did this in 2016 and was way below the acceptable level. There is a high dose programme which the GP should put you on to bring the levels up then you continue with 1600 iu per day on prescription after that. I take strivit-D3. It changed my life as regards catching colds etc.

Hi Aingeful, i get all my vitamins and supplements from Healthspan, they're good quality, reasonably priced, well packed in letterbox friendly packs. I stock up in the occasional sales and use their subscription service. Been using them for 12 years.

I also use a book by Angela Dowden a nutritionist to ensure I'm taking the optimum amount and not overdosing. I take vitamins & supplements for immunity support and to help CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome).

B6 50mg - immunity support & helps to store energy

B12 2000iu - immunity & supports Red blood cells, immunity, energy-yielding metabolism

D3 2000iu - immunity, bone health,

K2 - which ensures D3 is taken to bones

multivit&mineral for over 550s

Vitamin C 10000mg effervescent - for a boost to immune system when feeling iffy

I also take high strength glucosamine (arthritis), omega 3 (heart brain health) and Ubiquinol (fatigue)

I have a low sugar and low carbohydrate diet & try to have my 5 a day of veg & lower sugar fruit (berries & apples)

I use the brand Solgar and try to take Vit C and D. Good chemists have these and can also be purchased from Amazon. I like them because they are vegan friendly and don’t have additional additions to them.

Try some Floradix first, available from supermarkets, chemists and Holland and Barrett. It's a liquid which is really easy to take. Then try to increase your intake of fruit and veg. Tinned and frozen are OK. Build up slowly over time until you are eating 5 portions per day.

I take vitamin d every day and calcium with K2 andMk7. Solgar is a very good make as is British Supplements. I have a very good diet and cook everyday, always have fruit, salad and veg in but not opposed to take a supplement if i need one x
