finally got my letter from my consultant but left me with to many questions and no answers.
this is what he said word for word, i have received the results fromyour recent ct scan. Apart from some minor scarring at base of lungs and a benign-looking nodule there where no major abnormalities in the lungs. You can be discharged from the clinic but if you have any questions please contact the department.
when i saw him f2f he was going to change my inhalersor give me another one to us as well. What caused the nodules is years of passive smoking from being a baby. the scarring is it from when i was a blue baby or fyom when i had pleurisy or pneumonia or was it covid end nov -dec 2019. I rang up the surgery asked if the anp could ring me told her got results and i know Dr Caley's on holiday so could you ask helen anp who i used to see before her promotion when my old asthma nurse retired. So I'm just waiting to for her to ring me. 🤪

Update i rang surgery up ask idmf i could speak to a advance nurse practioner called helen told the receptionist what it was about still waiting now until possible monday. I dont think she passed the message on to her otherwise she wouldve have rang this afternoon.
It is reassuring to be told there are no major abnormalities. From what others have written on here, most people develop benign lung nodules as they get older. Medics tend to monitor the nodules over time to keep an eye on them. Hope you get your phone call back soon.
The important part of this letter is 'no major abnormalities'. Try and focus on that and I'm sure you'll feel better about it all. I'm pretty sure no-one will be able to tell you for sure why you have minor scarring and a small benign nodule. They might come up with some spurious reason.
No hes not just discharged me from clinic i font even know if hes going to change or even give me an extra inhaler like he said and this blooming cough i cant get rid it one time it use to just flatd up in winter now its all the time and still dont know whats caused it or trigger it.Not getting hardly any sleep with being in constant pain then coughing most of the night lucky 1/2-1hr sleep.
