At the moment I'm recovering from covid ,still testing positive, now I've started with chest infection on top ,since mid Jan to Feb I had chest infection that lasted a months until antibiotics were change ,I have felt so run down since ,this is why I think I caught covid ,I've often thought of trying to build myself up on vitimins ,the trouble is I have tried vitimins in the past ,find that I can't take them as they upset my stomache so much especially vitimin C ,anyone know if there are any that are kind on the stomach ,I have a proper sensitive stomach ,can't take prednisalone either upset my stomache so much

You can definitely get stomach friendly vitamin C. I used to get it from Healthspan via freepost

Hello Alice

I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling with the aftermath of the chest infections, they can certainly leave you feeling very drained, can’t they.

As Peege says, you can get what is called buffered vitamin C which is kinder on the stomach but if you are on medication it would be best to check with your pharmacist first, to make sure none of what you intend to take will cause any problem with your meds.

Alternatively, could you increase your intake of vitamin C rich foods, instead, such as broccoli ( that contains more vitamin C than oranges apparently) , red peppers etc?

Also, I think it would be worth getting your vitamin D levels checked , if you haven’t already, given the frequent infections you’ve had. Hopefully your doctor will be able to arrange that for you but there are some simple tests available online if not.

I hope you start feeling better soon.

I've used Floradix in the past when my vits have needed a boost. Easy to take and absorb, but it is quite expensive in comparison with a tub full of pills.

Thank you ,hope you get better soon. Yes I am careful as have never worn a mask as cant tolerate it. I use the hand sanitizer all the time as I believe we pick up viruses by touching something that am someone has touched .like shopping trolleys, door handles, toilet flushes and so much more . I wish you a speedy recovery xxSheila 💕👍⚘
