Viral Pneumonia

Just recovered from viral pneumonia and need detailed explanations how to avoid having it again. How do you contract a fungus that causes it, for example? Thanks so much in advance!

If only I knew the answer. Pneumonia has pounced on me many times without the slightest warning.

Is very difficult to advise on how to avoid a virus of any description let’s face it Covid is a virus!!Would suggest similar things as for avoiding Covid. For example washing hands regularly and use hand gel if necessary. Keep away from people especially in indoor area. Keep indoor areas ventilated.

Am also an advocate of eating well, using some vitamins such as vitamin C and D.

Thanks Bevvy, have been doing all the things mentioned, wondering how a "fungus" can cause it.

Most of the time here we advise avoiding “dr Google “ due to false information. In your case I did Google and it simply says you have somehow/somewhere breathed in fungal spores and that has caused the pneumonia….. Have you been in a damp building/house etc which may have mould on walls? Been to a countryside area?

I live in the country and had issues with the roof and kept getting it coated until I finally bought 2 gallons of very expensive coating, hoping that will fix the problem. I do keep the bedroom windows open all year for fresh air with a fan on also. It is warm and cozy in there tho. Thank you, that has been a concern for me.
