Butlins I

Hi hope everyone is keeping well, have just got back from a weekend at Butlins maybe not the best type of place to go but I did enjoy it and poor mum put a brave face on and suffered it as she just wants me to have fun and enjoy love her to bits. We were very lucky and had chalet right up close to everything which meant I didn't need wheelchair just took it slowly as it was nice and flat there. Looking forward to going to my nanas for a few days which is something not done since covid kicked in then it will be back to college, and maybe this year will be able to attend without sheilding fingers crossed. Stay safe everyone.

I loved Butlins the one time I stayed there with my parents. It's great how everything is in one place. But the fact we never went there again, tells me my parents weren't so keen.

Hi Pokermon. Butlins sounded really good fun. Some of my friends go to Christmas weekends in November and say they have a wonderful time. Enjoy yourself at your nanas, John 😀

We used to holiday at Butlins at least once a year when our kiddies were small Barry island was our favourite. It was good as everything was included apart from good as we went self catering. Enjoy your trip to see your nan and good luck with your new college year x

Aren't mum's the best. We went to Butlins once when we were kids and it was great. I am glad you enjoyed it and the break was sure to make you feel good. Have a fab time with your Nana, these are the things that make happy memories x

I remember having great fun at Butlins Minehead and Pwyllheli back in the 1960's. They were great holidays! In the 90s I went to an Abba weekend at Bognor with my daughter and friends. Things had changed a bit (or maybe my expectations have changed) but we still had a fun weekend.

I think it sounds as though you have the best mum in the world (apart from me, that is! Lol!). Tell her I think she's pretty amazing - as is her daughter! You sound as though you are doing really well and I'm so glad you had a good time.

Fingers crossed for a less restricted college year when you return. It feels like it's time for us all to get living again. xx Moy
