What can i use to monitor my oxygen levels overnight.

Hello everyone, I really want to buy something that will record/monitor my over night oxygen levels, but i don't know what i can buy apart from an Apple watch which i just cannot afford. There must be something under £100 that i can buy even if its second hand.

I use CPAP at night as i have severe sleep apnea, but i'm constantly waking up all night and when its time to get up in the morning i am feeing awful, really tired still, sluggish, almost like i'm drunk and i'm struggling to do anything. CPAP nurse says all looks fine from her end, G.P. doesn't seem at all interested so i need to monitor this myself. Please does anyone have any ideas what would record my oxygen levels overnight. Thanks x

Have you had an overnight tosca sleep study?

I only had an overnight study to diagnose my sleep apnea 7 years ago, they won't do another one now as they don't feel they need to!

I use a bi-pap machine, the respiratory team can change my settings remotely, I don’t have sleep apnoea I retain carbon dioxide, the symptoms you describe were similar to mine, perhaps ask for a arterial blood gas incase your retaining co2, it’s awful you feel this way, hopefully you will get more tests.

Found this on Amazon but can not vouch for its accuracy or reliability.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-Oxime...

I have a Nonin wristOx2 that will do the job to a pro standard but the price would probably give you many a sleepless night at well over £600

Good luck in your searching

Oh. It’s dreadful when you feel as you describe It will be useful to involve your respiratory consultant /team in this and don’t just presume that a change in overnight oxygenated is the problem. They will be able to look at the bigger picture and check that your lung function is not being compromised. Meanwhile if you have any relaxation strategies it would be worth spending more time with them and getting some energy back.

I hope you find a solution and feel better soon.

You might check the CMS50F pulse oximeter. Straps to your wrist like a watch. Is fairly comfortable on your finger for all night. Downloads to a computer. About $100 in the US

Hi I have two oximeters that I use to record overnight readings. Both are Contech Medical Systems. Model No.'s CMS50D and CMS50F. Available at Amazon 34 and 84 pounds. Both come with software. I have found that the CMS50F is the better of the two. Accuracy +/_ 2% which is normal. I hope this helps. cheers Dave. Breath easy. Exercise often.
