vitamin d
Yeah you really put the cat amongst the pigeons! πππ
I think you may need an additional vit d tablet to get over it all.πDon't worry about the cranks Whit they soon shoot themselves in the foot.
Crack on with the vit d regime and all will be well.
Best wishes Skis and Scruffs ππΉ
π. Well, it wasn't your intention to start all that and sorry, as others have said, that your post was hijacked. That aside, I hope that you got the answers and reassurance you wanted. Best wishes to you xx
Vitamin D is very important to your body, from storing calcium in your bones, as a moderator to your immune system, correct cell function even down to helping prevent respiratory infections.
Please take it, one tiny little pill will help you and not do any harm. I too take 70 odd pills a week plus 3 inhalers and that is not when taking the 'rescue pack', which is yet another 10 pills a day.

Never mind whit, it happens. I think my friend in Illinois would have laughed at her fellow American going on like that. Take care and take your vitamin D. ππ
My Niece Lives in Illinois too Carole, I must say she is now very
" Americanised" and tends to Shout very loud with her Feathers Flowing. She doesn't believe in COVID, says as much on her FB. Takes all sorts. Sad. Hope you & Pete are doing well. Much Love. XXX C.
Thatβs a shame Carolina. So many losing their lives in America. Very sad.
Weβre good thank you. Love and hugs to you and your family. Xxxπ₯°ππππ
I have a cousin in the US too, married an American and been there for 40 years now. We've been over several times over the years and can honestly say have never met anyone like him. Their attitude can be a bit OTT at times but that's the way some are and I daresay they think of us in the same way, a bit uppity!π The ones we met outside shopping etc came up to us because they heard our accents and genuinely just wanted a chat! My husband loves vintage cars, and he spotted a vintage Cadillac in the car park and asked the old guy sitting in it waiting for his wife, if he could take a look at it - the next we know the guy is taking him for a run in it around the car park!ππ Made this guy's day! He'd had it since new and only took it out once a week to take his wife shopping! Lol!
One of her daughters is a Respiratory Therapist in a Veterans Hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee and she put a post up on FB a few weeks ago imploring people to follow the rules and that covid was very real. The photo she put up was of a huge mobile morgue brought into the hospital next door because their morgue was full π°π·. I was talking to her and she just couldn't get over the crass ignorance of some people. It's very sad!
Hi Hun, It is good to see two sides. My Beverley,Whom I love, but even before she Married a Lovely American Man (20 years ago). she was an activist, and went against everything. She never did calm down. The thing is, she has had Covid, but Strangely now saying it is all a Lie about covid & the Vaccine, Maybe Self preservation. Who Knows. Nowt as queer as Folk. Take Care, Stay safe, Regards to your Family & Their caring daughter in US. XXX C.
I was going to say about strange folks too Carolina but you beat me to it. I just think some people get so entrenched in their own views and opinions for the sake of being argumentative that they forget how to be objective! As my mum would have said, you just have to feel sorry for folk like that and get on with your life! 'Rise above it' was her favourite quote, bless her! π
I have a friend like that who doesnβt believe in covid 19. She also sent me a pictorial video of Trump saying you canβt watch this without crying. Didnβt shed a tear!
I personally would not be shouting how good a system is when it is rated 34 in the world. The number of deaths during birth is terrible and the infant mortality rate is not that good either. In reality he wants to join an American support group for people with COPD. Lol...I doubt he would get much support for his views..
He's probably already been chucked off!π² I'm thinking he just likes to troll and wind people up. He's another one who only likes the sound of his voice!π
Wow I missed all this yesterday. Horrible person and I can't understand why admin haven't deleted his account yet.
it's the weekend, admin seem to be here Monday to Friday.
Well, I missed your post yesterday so just had to have a look at it today to see what all the fuss was about. That guy certainly has a high opinion of himself and his country's medical system and plenty of negative stuff to say about ours! I'm restraining myself from writing what I want to call him.
Whatever he chooses to think and say, we know we are very fortunate to have our NHS. They are fantastic! Not all experiences are perfect but then everyone is human.
A few years ago I paid to see an ENT consultant privately - he was happy to take my money and had me back a number of times but, unfortunately, was no help at all. I saw another ENT consultant privately and he was excellent. One visit was enough. Both work for the NHS but one, in my opinion, is more on the ball than the other. Paying privately doesn't necessarily get you the best, although it may sometimes help you to get treatment more quickly.
Aren't we lucky that we have the choice in this country?
God bless our NHS and all who work so hard to keep us well.
xx Moy
Agree! The same for private schools. Just because you may pay thousands of pounds to give your child private education doesn't mean they get the best teachers! This was a known fact years ago and probably still is in parts!
Neither of my daughters would be alive today if it wasn't for the NHS. It can work both ways in this country. My youngest daughter's consultant surgeon works for the private sector as well as the NHS, and when he couldn't get a theatre opening for her to have an urgent operation he booked it at his private hospital, NHS funded. She was in and out and back at Uni in no time. This is quite a common practice now I believe, though if the NHS hadn't suffered such harsh cuts previously this may not have been necessary - false economics. Every system has its flaws but without a doubt we are lucky to have the NHS and the dedicated staff that work in it!
Yes I don't think I have ever come across anyone so arrogant and opinionated in my life. As according to his posts if he has everything on tap why was he even on the BLF site. As I put it yesterday the help that guy needs will not be found on this site. Let us hope he disappears into obscurity. Look after yourself and take your vitamin D.
Most offensive and has been reported all over the weekend but nothing done about it! π when you have someone as obnoxious as that starts talking about guns! He sounds like he is very angry about his own country and it's leaders so let's take it out on good old UK. Or maybe he's always like that, heaven forbid!
Yes I reported him as well. Not the sort of person we need on this forum that I have found everyone, apart from him, so nice, helpful and friendly especially at times when we just need someone to chat to who understands your situation or you feel that you may be able to reassure them in some way. Being kind to others which he clearly was not.
I have decided not to look at anything that obnoxious person posts ever again, let alone reply to it. There was a certain amusement value in some of the witty and well informed ripostes, but the picture he drew of armed nutters rising to overthrow the government was disconcerting. Snackjack is right about the real purpose of this forum. Enjoy your Vit D and feel sorry for rattlesnakes, who must rattle without taking any pills.
