Good morning 2greys, what I am wondering is how about absorption.. well for me as I have LAM so this trait is in my genotype.
Still you know there has been a trend for years telling people dairy was mucus forming etc, so avoidance was better..I think it was detrimental because people confused dairy and lactose. Now we can have lactose free food, if we are intolerant.
Also we know we have long grey winters but now we have such hot summers and told not to go out. All in all our natural exposure to Vit D must be quite low.
Despite taking a Vit D supplement I was still under the norm so I have increased my vit D to 2 X 400 Solgar soft gel capsules as recommended by my GP. Will have another blood check in 3 months.
I am also on steroids which lowers vit D effects.
I didn’t get into LAM specifics but they also found another protein we have too much of called a1AG1, alpha-1-acid-glycoprotein, which is 2/3 higher than normal. And I am more interested in that part of the research.
Professor Johnson didn’t expand about that I think research is still going on. It was done on 160 patients.
The aim is to understand the severity or not of the disease in certain patients. He had a graph with 3 types Fev 1 in patients the red line sinked very quickly, the blue slowly, and the green was more or less horizontal so stable..
I found it very interesting. The video dates from 2017 but has just been published by LAM Action on Facebook.
Hola Amiga, Interesting ,Yes, After Living in Hot Sunny Climes, like Yourself, I felt the Difference being back in UK during my first Winter Here..(2013). I do take Vit C & Evening Prim., Calcium prescribed. Vit D has helped, I think? With our Summer happening now I had stopped taking it , but I will Continue in Autumn. What doesn't hurt you etc... Hace un Buen Final Semana Chica, y Bea y Aria tambien. Besitos XXXXXXX

I feel for all the children Now who will Grow to have these Problems even though Screening is of high Priority. xxxx

Do it my happy friend, you and Bea were looking for a break and you can get me some delicacies from Istanbul before your return and i bet for a small fee they would accomodate Aria.
Good morning Fran, a fascinating post thank you 😊. I suppose its easy for vitamin levels to be low without even knowing it...and with high factor sunscreens and a tendency for people to stay inside, it's worth checking!
I hope you're well at the moment and not suffering too much from the weather. Lots of love to you xxx
Ah well I'm glad you have a break from the summer heat for a while 😎 Its too hot here at the moment. Mercury hit 31 yesterday 😥. A little cooler today with some cloud. But yes it's sheer bliss not having to be up early and wrestle them all to school...😊. That in itself is heaven.
My Daughter arrives here next Wednesday, Just been talking on Wassap, She Said coming to Cool Down. Spain has 47 Degrees, I could never Breath there if I had stayed.. xxxxx
