Hi I have recently been diagnosed with bronchiectaxis. Can anyone recommend an airway clearance device. Or have any thoughts on ones not to get. Thanks in advance.

I use an Aerobika, it's better than a flutter as you can use in any position and the resistance is adjustable. Haven't tried any others.
Thank you very much for that
I tried a few options but have settled with Aerosure - it suits me but we are all different so probably best to experiment to see what is best for you. Good luck.
If you speak to your occupational therapist they will put one in the post to you with aa follow up on call to help you with how to use it. Your can buy them on line.
I use an acapella which is free on prescription in the UK ,good luck x
Hi Sandy. I've purchased the Air Physio & it's worked really well for me. I've had COPD & emphysema for years & it's helped me so much.
You should be able to get this free (and the correct type for you) from a respiratory physio - the GP/consultant should be able to refer you.
We use an acapella that has 5 resistances (it's green if you look on amazon) but I think it's a good idea to speak to a professional who knows your condition and can recommend the right one and tell you what to do (e.g. how many times a day max - and what level) (so you don't unwittingly cause other issues).
I was prescribed an AeroBika by my respiratory nurse when I was really bunged up and it worked like magic for me. Talk to your respiratory team.
Do use a spacer/aero chamber with puffers.I like the aerobika flutter device.
Carbocysteine is helpful in thinning mucous
