Take steps challenge

Looking back on September now I set myself a target of 124 miles (200km) for the challenge. I have asthma and COPD & suffer with mental health, I throughly enjoyed the challenge. How many other of you took part and what was your thoughts? Would you do it again? Would you prefer a different month? Any thoughts would be great and your views.

My lungs would not be able to manage that mileage and definitely not if weather was too damp, windy, cold etc.

Good luck to you in the next target you set yourself.

It worked out I did 4 miles a day, that was enough for me, I won’t increase it next time, that was the good thing about the event you set your ,own target

What stage are you at with copd ? I was diagnosed borderline 3 years ago . Fev1 90, fvc 67 so mild , earlier this year it was fev1 85 but had a cold and chesty cough then I can run fast still do 6 miles under an hour at 61 but still a worrying diagnosis thinking it will continue to decrease
