Hi all , as a man I don't normally do things like this but like they say it's good to talk !

Anyway for the last 2 months I have been suffering from crackling in my throat and sometimes sounds likes the cat is in the room , it starts to happen as soon as I lay down 😴, doctor prescribed a course of streriods which do help but soon came back 2 weeks later. Now been prescribed a blue inhaler which does ease my chest but are still having restless night's sleep. Also my legs are restless and I can't get comfortable in bed 😴 . Thanks for reading 🌈

Hi Tatty, I suggest you have a word with your GP. The blue inhaler seems to be working for you, but the effect of this only lasts about 4 hours. To get more long term relief a preventer inhaler might help. The effects of these lasts 12 hours. Worth discussing I think.

Hi , phone my GP again , the nurse rang me back saying she will prescribe me a brown Inhaler , take 2 puffs in the morning and 2 at night followed by a puff of the blue one ?

Collected it from the chemist who said I should of prescribed the brown one first ?

Then talking to my elderly mom said she takes blue first to open up airway then the other after ?πŸ˜΅πŸ’¨

I take a blue first, to open up the airways, as your mum does. An asthma nurse suggested it β€œ to make sure your preventer gets to where it is supposed to go.” Don’t know if that’s right or not, but it hasn’t done me any harm.

Hello 😊 have you tried using several pillows so you're not actually lying flat. Not that this would solve your problems but might help a bit 🀞

Hi , I didn't till this morning just before I got up , I normally have 2 pillows , 1 quite flat one and I grabbed 2 others and did notice a difference in my noise's.

Was going to try that tonight, thanks πŸ‘πŸŒˆ

Hi , 3 pillows stopped most of the crackle πŸ‘, but still a restless night as I also have been suffering from aching legs 😭.

Raised my end of the bed. Up with blocks and used extra pillows works for me
