ISOLATION

People interviewed on TV tonight are not clear and do not realise the severity of situation . As happened in france when people met up as usual and infection soared . Macron had then to isolate every one with police involved. So now what.

I think, as a nation we’re more biddable than the French. No gilets jaunes here. Tbh I often think we could take a few tips from across the Channel!

Only so far then as a nation we are noted for "stiff upper lip" that is not so far from being " stiff necked" and not regarding circumstances.

Simple. For people like us, with chronic illnesses, we follow the advice, or we die.

I’ve already been self isolating for 12 days. I’ll be continuing to do so now for the next 12 weeks. Or longer if the advice changes again.

Morning Jaybird19. Think a lot of people just think oh i will be ok. I will not catch it. But most of us on here never thought we would never have the illnesses we have. So we realise how quickly things change. Hope you and everyone else are keeping well Brian

So true totally fed up with selfish people who think they will be ok!

Thank you Brian and you.

So far so good but worrying that tablet would give up and email is essential.

I almost feel that i am wearing a placard round my neck saying Unclean Unclean .

I agree about people thinking i wont get it and its only like the flu. See the parisians life as normal and now they have it.

There are some good things coming from it . People are more neighbourly .

Take care

June

I dont understand why people just cant be sensible, especially when you realise beds in hospital under normal times are in short supply, as we are now reaching the peak of this virus more people will be needing beds, so to go out when you dont need to knowing you could get infected just doesnt make sense. I have heard so many people say" I am not being told what to do" and "I am not staying in" this is for your own safety and we all have to adjust x

Indeed

Yes I think there still are people who believe that as this virus is mild for most people, why worry. Also, when the government makes recommendations rather than rules, these leave room for interpretation.

Not good. Someone in my street is out and about with suspected CV and seems to think it‘s ok because they can’t get tested and the symptoms are only mild anyway.

On twitter I saw first figures from Italy yesterday that claim 50% of recent hospital admissions are under 60s. If true, this may change perceptions!

Yes indeed . The government needs to govern not make suggestions .

It is so sad that people that includes the elderly will not do as requested to isolate or if they MUST go out to keep a safe distance, i went to asda today and seen groups of two or three elderly people quite close to one another talking away if everything is O K, when will people learn the lessons of other nations, i went shopping today and at the checkout people really close to me, idiots, i have a bit of business this week in our town but after that it will be one day shopping and then the rest of the week keeping away from people, i do wish people would heed the advise given and stop being so naive, sorry for the rank but lives are at stake
