I have stage 4 emphsemia well appantly the government wants us in the at risk group to self isolate for 3 months so when we are feeling at our most vulnerable we are told to stay on our own it feels like being in prison I understand we need to stay safe but surely we can wear a mask if someone comes over to help clear up find out how we are what's the protocol here it's a mad mad world and I'm frightened

What is puzzling me is that we are expected to rely on family for supplies : mu children both have 3 children, are struggling to keep their own supplies up,

I’m very pleased that supermarkets are limiting what people can buy,but feel there is a lack of joined up thinking here?

Sorry if this post is muddled I haven’t slept very well.

Bad enough with the selfish idiots In the supermarkets. My friends son works in an electrical store that sell white goods he went home Saturday night saying they had such a busy day everyone were in the shop queuing up to buy fridge freezers and freezers they completely sold out and had to start a waiting list absolute madness.

It is hard and I feel for those who are alone. Social distancing is key so if anyone comes to visit then don’t get close to them. They must of course be well.

Take care xxxx

Basically there is no reason why people cannot come in to help you. Providing they are well and you maintain a two yard separation.

That's IF you do have someone to help!!!

Good to hear all comments thanks everyone

If they are trained healthcare professionals and are wearing gloves and masks themselves.

Any one unaware of the risks who may feel well but are infected, could touch any number of surfaces and leave you a nasty gift, you could become a fanatical cleaner I suppose if you had visitors but it could be easier just to meet them in the garden or street and chat with 2 metre distance between you ;) We shall all develop booming voices - gotta be good for the lungs :D

Isolating is the only way to avoid catching this virus and I’m willing to do it.

How long are u being told to isolate for ?

Recommendation is two weeks minimum. However, I live rural on acreage in the country and fortunately I’m in a position to isolate for three or more months. I plan to isolate for as long as it takes. I can go out on my property with my animals as I have no close neighbors.

Sounds idyllic no neighbours I'm in a village with plenty so long as we all keep safe

I am self isolating better safe than sorry, plus I would hate to think I might be the reason someone else may get it. I have no symptoms just feel it's the right thing to do. Have a lovely day and take care of yourselves 😊 Bernadette xx
