Hi not sure we can help you as this site is for those with lung disease. You would be better off joining a pet forum.

Nasal sprays, antihistamines and bronchodilators can help relieve symptoms.

Consider allergy shots (immunotherapy).

Have you tried Clarityn or one of the other antihistamines Chrissi55 ? There’s also the nasal spray equivalent which I haven’t tried.

Piriteze is very effective for dogs, I use in on my JRT, vets recommend it.

I have allergies....hives...eczema always have....its been a bother forever. Of all the things that ever helped over the counter Claritin if not that second choice Zyrtec....

I would ask my physician or pharmacist first!!! Better than any shots I've had too...but please make sure they will be safe for you....

Hi chrissi

Do you mean you have developed an allergic reaction to your dog? If it is recent then there may be other reasons rather than just the dog’s dander. There are general over the counter sprays and medication for allergies. As Vonnie said there are vaccines also. Homeopathic medication can be helpful for some people , nettle tea can ease symptoms also, teabags are available in most health stores and some supermarkets.

An air purifier may help , grooming your dog outside, if you have wood or laminate flooring that may help . Vogel Pollinosan nasal spray is natural and can be used longer than traditional ones.

Perhaps speak with your doctor, vet etc to see what they suggest.

Good luck and hope you find something that works for you.

If you suffer rhinitis, runny nose. Or tightness of breathing two different symptoms. You can buy spray which creates a sticky waxy substance that can trap dander from passing through the nose. For chest Claritin. One other point it is sometimes the proteins from animal saliva rather than dander that causes a reaction.

I had to do away with all pets. It can be that drastic. Sorry about that.

An air purifer helps. Also antihistamine. But maybe talk to your GP about your concerns.
