I’ve been on Montelukast for 18 months and have had no negative side effects. It has helped with my breathing, and reduced inflammation, mucus and coughing. I take it first thing in the morning without any issues.

I notice within an hour if I am late taking it.

So for me it has been a very helpful medication.

I had insomnia and felt jittery I didn’t think it was much good..

I’ve been taking it for about 41/2 years. I take it at night with other medication and have not had a problem. I don’t take the blue inhaler as often as I used to. Good luck.

I’ve been on montelukast for about four years and haven’t had any side effects. I take it just before I go to bed and it stops me wheezing and coughing when I’m lying down.

I have been on it for well over a year and it has helped me massively. I haven’t had any side effects that I am aware of x

I’ve taken montekulast for three years now. I does help me very definitely with my perfume and salicylate asthma triggers especially....fewer and less serious exacerbations. However it took about three months to work, I was about to give up, but desperation to find a solution to my asthma kept me trying.....pharmacist said might take a while to work. In the early weeks of taking it, I had very vivid dreams, felt unsettled and thought it might be causing depression....side effects I get anyway from taking steroids during exacerbations. I’m glad the pharmacist encouraged me to persist because side effects faded to nothing and montekulast definitely helps my asthma. I’d say give it a try.
