Breathlessness

I have a infection and am on antibiotics, my sats are good at 96 but I am still very breathless when moving about, I can’t seem to get it under control. Has anyone any suggestions

Perhaps you need to rest a bit and take your time when moving about.

You’re still on antibiotics,so need to take your time.

Pleanty of fluids etc.

Takes time for antibiotics to get going. But if you are not getting any better go to your doctors.

Hello Breslin! I just went through the same - I had bronchitis, was put on antibiotics & just had no energy at all. According to my doctor this is not abnormal. Due to inflammation & the the bug itself it just drains you. So, stay with your medication, coddle yourself a bit & you will soon start to get back to normal. Remember, we with existing respiratory ailments are going to take a little longer to recover. I have COPD - emphysema. Of course, if you continue to feel horrible, don’t hesitate to get back to your medical professional. Hope you start feeling better soon.

Hi when you’re on antibiotics with a infection they normally give you steroids also to deal with your airways so I would ask about getting a course of them off your dr. Good luck 😉
