You can catch it like the flu
When someone smiled at me today
I started smiling too
I walked around the corner
And someone saw me grin
When he smiled I realised
I had passed it on to him
I thought about the smile
And then realised its worth
A single smile like mine
Could travel round the earth
So if you feel a smile begin

Start an epidemic
And get the world infected.

They will always be there for people who want to look for them but fashions change. I never really moved on much from the dance-band days as far as popular music goes. I tend to prefer classical music for relaxing to now.
One of my favourite happy poems, it always makes me smile.
My friend and I were actually talking about how a simple smile can make the world a nicer place. It is so true and we agreed to smile at everyone we met on the walk. Yes, it worked, we had a smie back from everyone apart from one woman who just stared at us. We followed it up with a *hello,lovely day isn*t it?* We were rewarded with a grunt! We were not put off and continued with our walk together. The point is, we felt good and felt the world was a better place. So, carry on smiling everyone. It will make you feel better and you will be rewarded back, most of the time with a smile in return.

Have you ever tried smiling in a commuter train carriage on the way to work? It is quite fun, most of the be-suited men just raise their papers even higher, and try to pretend they are not there.
