Relvar Ellipta 92/22
Although the long-acting bronchodilator component acts fairly quickly the steroid component can take weeks to take full effect so stopping after only a few days will mean you won’t know how much good it could do. I wouldn’t recommend stopping it without at least discussing it with your doctor.
Hello Bingo88 .
I was on Revlar and it has never made me feel more breathless. But everyone is different. I would recommend ringing your doctor before you do anything. It is best to inform him / her.
Take care.

I have been on it for just over 12 months and it suits me well. My voice gets a little croaky some times., nothing else
Hi Brian
My husband who'd been on Spiriva and Symbicourt for several years was once put on Relvar Ellipta after a meeting with a consultant who found a test result showing an Asthma component in his condition. (The test was a very raised Ig score). He did not find it helpful at all and was quickly changed back. This test result was probably a one off or even a mistake on their part. You may find Relvar helpful if your COPD has an asthmatic component. My husband now uses Trimbow.
Good Luck with it all
Corin
Thanks for the Reply Corin. All i have been diagnosed with at present is COPD. which could be anyone of the diseases in that group. Got blood result to check for Alpha 1, Family Hereditary disease early next week. So hope they do more tests after that, So i get treatment to help me. Thanks again Corin, Hope you and your husband enjoy your weekend BRIAN
Yes, it made me very breathless and ill. It doesn't suit everyone.
According to the patient leaflet this drug & dosage you have been prescribed is supposed to be good for asthma & mild COPD. However these RElvar inhalers were researched for asthma patients mainly and higher doses are not reccommended for patients with COPD of any kind. Many people are just being used as guinea pigs in respect of use for COPD. I would raise the issue of your breathing being worse with your GP. I was prescribed Relvar Ellipta 184/22 and ended up in an ambulance taken to hospital because of the effects on my breathing. Take Care
I have been on relvar Ellipta 92/22 for over two year and find it very good. But didn’t find it maid me more breathless when I first went on it. It’s a preventer inhaler so should be taken one puff daily. When taking it you have to take a deep breath in and hold your breath for as long as you can. A lot of people don’t do this so they are not getting the full benefit of the medication . Only stop taking it when told by your gp.
