Bugat, may i suggest you restrict your posts to one or two a day or add all your questions in one post because if you put so many posts on at the same time people will get confused and you may not get the answers you require? Please don't be offended just a word of advice.

best wishes Ski's and Scruff's

I don’t believe that mucus is the cause, but rather more the effect. But there are breathing techniques to help clear the lungs, many examples on YouTube. And you might try to get into a pulmonary rehab class, where they teach breathing exercises.

Mucas - I had a feeling that the body produced mucas to help protect the lungs from harmful particles!!

Being a dog groomer for nearly 30 years, most without a mask, I always had mucas in throat & bit snuffly nose! Since I’ve been wearing a mask this year I don’t x

If you have lots of mucus have you been checked out for bronchiectasis? I'm told dairy products increase mucus. Keeping hydrated helps.

Carbocisteine is usually prescribed for mucous, when it becomes prolific. I personally get Chinese herbs from a local Chinese herb practitioner, which keeps mine under control.

Have you been given a Flutter (Mucous Clearing Device) ?

Do you use a blue inhaler ?

Have you ever had any chest physio?

See your GP and ask about a Chest Physiotherapist referal and referal to a Respiratory Nurse for guidance/advice about a Flutter.

Is there a COPD course being run in your clinic or hospital you can attend?

The partner of a friend of mine attended one. She said she found it a bit tough at first but then really enjoyed it and felt a lot better afterwards.

She has MS as well as COPD ( ex heavy smoker). I think it was because of the Multiple Sclerosis that she found it tough at first. She's doing great now.

If you are able to access a pulmonary rehabilitation centre in your area then do so, they are amazing! One of the things I’ve leaned from these amazing people is 1, breathing techniques ie breathing correctly and from the right place 2, to keep active so your lung capacity strengthens, 3, knowing when to rest and I feel one of the most amazing yet very simple tricks is to drink plenty of water! This actually thins down the stickiness of mucus which means it’s easier to cough up and stop you from feeling clogged if that makes sense. Hope this helps x
