Good Day,
I have been having shortness of breath and wheezing for about 10 months now. It started with heart palpitations and headaches. I went to my doctor and he put me on amlodipine 10mg. I eat healthy and exercise 4-5 times per week and fit for my age. I thought that I could cure my blood pressure issue naturally but finally gave in and started taking the medication which stabilized me which was in October of 2018. When I would go for my run (I am a runner or try to be) I noticed I was wheezing and would get shortness of breath when going up hills. As time went by, I was getting shortness of breath and wheezing during non-exercise. I went to the ER and they did the usual stuff (EKG, blood work, chest x-ray listened to my lungs and oxygen readings) which all turned out normal. I ended up going to the ER on two more occasions with the same results.
I then had a stress test, echo cardiogram, lung function test which all came back normal. My doctor could not really find anything wrong with me and suggested I start using an inhaler (Advair) and wrote me a prescription which I have not yet have filled. I asked if he could get me a referral for a CT Scan and he agreed. I had a CT Scan done with and without dye 1 week ago and got a call from the doctor's office advising I need to come in and go over the results. Anyways, that is where I am right now and wondering what they may of found? Just a little background, I have done numerous home repair projects where I was exposed to dust but it was not on a continuous basis. So I thought that maybe I have C.O.P.D. but my doctor ruled that out because it was not occupational. Any thoughts?
