How is everyone? The summer Saturday was sadly grey and suffocatingly muggy, I had to stay indoors. Just sending a happy Sunday post for you....🌻🌼Have a great day🎈😊

Yes, Saturday was really hot, no atmosphere and the final straw for Mum who could not breathe and rang me 05:30 hours Saturday morning.

Went round, O2 saturation through the floor (low 80’s) so called paramedics and ambulance and after a 2 hour wait off to hospital.

Pneumonia developed again apparently; on I.V. antibiotics and non-invasive O2 but not much better yesterday evening so see how she is today.

I think for myself the hardest bit is the powerlessness; I do everything I can and cannot do anymore and it’s heart breaking to see her so unwell.

So I hope she is feeling a bit better today but the fact is that one day she will run out of recovery and will not get better and I suspect that draws ever closer and that inevitable outcome just sucks immensely. (She has already lived a lot longer than anyone thought she would).

Such is Life, I guess.

I hope everyone takes care and looks after themselves and/or loved ones and the weather is easier to live with today.

Regards to all

Thanks Gingerapple; I am going to guess you may well be a red head like me. Taken me about 50 years to accept the sun hates me anyway so I just stay out of it now.

My ancestors must have been nocturnal or something, I get burnt if it’s sunny on TV.

Have a good day

Hi Phil, I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. It is the hardest thing to see someone you love deteriorate and be powerless to do anything to prevent it. Being there for her and with her is the best you can do, for both of you. Sending lots of good wishes to you and your mum.

Hi Phil. Hope your mum feels better today . I also looked after my mum who had emphasema so i know how you feel. My mum got comfort from just having someone there with her. She had her struggles but the fact that she wasnt alone with them , helped her lots. Luckily i have my son and daughter for that same support now i also have emphasema.
