Hello Pamela stopping smoking is the best thing possible, and after 3 months and 1 day it should be down hill all the way now, I stopped smoking seven years ago.

Well done although you are still finding it hard you must be feeling more positive about your future. I think that if I had continued to smoke I would have been a real invalid by now.Keep it up you are now a non smoker'

Very well done pamela67, just keep your eye open for nasty nic, he can sneak up when least expected. I recently started smoking after giving up for six months. I am annoyed with myself but will be back on track next week I hope. Giving up was the hardest thing, thinking of fags all the time was not a happy experience. It does get better though. Keep going and stay well. janice x

Hi Janice thankyou for your comment I have Defoe got my open for nasty nic :) her Been popping up alot recently but I've managed to push him away :) as for you starting smoking after giving up for 6 months don't beat yourself up you quit once iam sure you will do it again good luck and take care xxc

Well done Pam. Its a very tough thing to do, and I don't think the occasional craving ever goes for good.

I gave up three years ago, but last week when with my two brothers and three nephews for a family do, as they all smoke I did have a moment of thinking it would be nice to have just one. I didn't, I've fallen for that one before, giving up for ages and then thinking 'just one'. Don't beat yourself up for 'fancying a smoke' now and then ... just ride it out.

Keep it up, the cravings are short lived and health benefits are so huge, as you know.

All the best and hoping your health stays as good as poss
