Good morning everyone it's a bright sunny morning here but there doesn't seem to be any air ,perhaps it's just me . I've just had my dog out for his morning run in the playing field ,he ran and I whizzed around on my scooter ,I'm getting used to doing it this way now and it is certainly better than struggling,
I hope you all had a good night and that you have a pleasant day ,thinking of you ,from Enid xx

Then you make me feel even more guilty, for my lifestyle up until I stopped smoking was horrendously outrageously bad and you have done nothing at all to invite this horrible disease.
Very comical...........If only, velvet. Mr Grouse, Mr Bells and Mr Martell do nothing for me any more....it must have been time to pack it all in. Coffee, water and tea - that's it now. Funny thinking about it - who decides when enough is enough? Your body or your brain. Anybody have an answer?
Good morning Enid. It's the best time of the day to be out with your dog. Why struggle when you can make life easier ? It gives you both that lovely fresh air before it gets contaminated by vehicles. No sun here this morning near the Lancashire coast, in fact it's a bit misty and thank goodness for me, it has cooled down after a very warm night.
A lot of areas around me had storms yesterday but it missed us out , a storm usually clears the air and I do like watching them . It was a warm night and the sun is out bright and early today ,I'm watching the birds they are certainly getting through some fat balls and suet cake lately . I'm glad the weather has cooled for you ,take care xxx
Mr V has so many bird feeders, tables, bird baths etc in our garden....he spends more on feeding the birds than he does on feeding me....l get a can of Aldi baked beans !! πππ
But we do have lots of birds visiting our garden, and l love watching them, especially when they take a bath.
Hi all π It's a misty morning here in the west of Ireland but the forecast is for the hottest day of the year so for - 24c. The birds have been certainly giving it what for and I'm watching two song thrushes in our garden - hoping to see their young soon. Hope everybody has a great day! xxx Kim.
Morning Kim it sounds like you have a great day ahead , so your another bird watcher ,song thrushes are beautiful we seem to see less and less of them here , you will have to let us know when the young appear ,perhaps you can get a pic of them , and you enjoy the day as well . From Enid xx
I woke this morning to see a Magpie chasing a squirrel around my lawn! When the squirrel disappeared into the bushes, the magpie would wait for it to re-emerge and then chase it again. The magpie has been visiting my garden for some time - it seems to have claimed my garden as its own territory.
I Get two magpies that come to feed each morning then clear off ,I expect they have another place to go for a second helping ,squirrels I dont get here, when I lived in Letchworth I had them all the time they would pinch the fat balls and run away with them .they love apple and would sit on the roof of my shed munching away but spitting out the skin, we had the grey and black squirrels there, I've never seen a red squirrel I think they must live in other areas , so your Magpies are not happy having them as neighbours and don't intend to share. It's lovely watching the birds and little creatures isn't it , enjoy your day ,from Enid xxx
The squirrels are a recent arrival - I suspected they might be here when pegs I had left on my patio table disappeared, only to be found later amongst the bushes but now I have seen them twice. I hope they stay around and the magpie does not scare them away.
Squirrels don't give up easily ,I love them ,a lot of people don't they call them tree rats ,their little tails never stop twirling this way and that when they have young their tails are like bits of hairy string .
You will have to watch your bulbs if you plant any because they will have them ,if there is food around nuts etc they won't be bothered about the Magpies . It's such a nice day I've decided to go out ,I spend a lot of time at home lately so I'm going to my knitting club I haven't been for months because of the breathing ,just hope nobody comments on it .
It is a great way for getting the dogs out , Charlie isn't fussy as long as he gets to the playing field so he can free ,we go very early as I'm up any way ,also there is never any one else there , I think Charlie likes it that way he hates other dogs jumping around him ,he's not very sociable he doesn't play . Take care from Enid xxx
Good for you Enid, you inspired me to get up early and walk my dog. It's great to hear of innovative ways in overcoming various difficulties and I applaud you very much. Weather is much cooler here in Bristol today.
EP1234 funny enough we have the sun here in South Norfolk too, We seem to have missed the storms yesterday too. we put feed out for the birds but the starlings seem to make such a meal of it the smaller birds hardly get a look in. have a lovely day
Hi Joyce , yes those starlings certainly take over ,I wait until they have finished stuffing their beaks and put out a bit extra for the others, there isn't much you can do about it ,they are scavengers I've decided . Hope your day is going well ,from Enid x
Well then, Enid..., it's a bright shiny day all around...; here in Georgia, USA at about 7am, the sun's full blast in the cool morning air; quite nice for my morning's work on the roof for a bit before the real heat comes in at the end of the week when we're forecast for lower 90's.
AHHhhhhh...., well..., "Summer's" upon us now for the next few months.
