Tesco offers me ยฃ9 off if I spend ยฃ60 or over. Are they mad? One man and his dog spending ยฃ60 per week every week for 3 weeks on groceries in order to get money off.๐
Made me smile don, I'm sitting at hospital number in hand, waiting for a blood test. Laughter makes the world go round, and breaks the ice, the whole department had a laugh. Jane
Morning Mr. D and I was laughing as I read your "Shoppers" rhyme because it is something I do by mistake from time to time ( forget my purse) but the store manager says he won't hold on to your bagged up items in my trolley, because only 1 person in 10 ever returns to collect and pay ๐ฎ!!! Well, seems like it happens more than you'd think then?
So it's possibly a Lidils day today although I'm waiting to see if the rain holds off a bit. My breathing goes to pot with rain ........... it goes to pot with any weather changes really, even with my "nose hose" on. ๐ค๐ซ
Bright and sunny here up to now but a lot of bad weather forecast.๐ My son bought me a little container that can hold a ยฃ20 note and hooks on my car keys. That's saved me a few times, once when I'd ordered fish and chips with no money.๐ฑ
Yes I've seen similar things advertised,to stash a ยฃ20 or more of you are feeling flush and they are a jolly good idea. (Only trouble is,for me to be feeling "flush", it's nothing to do with financies, ........ It's the dreaded MENOPAUSE ๐ญ๐๐๐จ๐ก !!!
Ha! can so relate to this. I dont like interent shopping, prefer to go and have a look, although it was very handy when I came out of hospital. Thanks for the laugh Don x
Internet suits us fine these days, no car now, all put on the kitchen table for us. Manage to spend ยฃ40 and no charge for delivery. Find it easier to take advantage of offers on line.
It is much easier to find your way around online and find things that you didn't know existed. But I also like to have a look around there every now and then. A bit like going to the zoo.๐
Hi Don, Great Post, It is a Lot easier for Folk who cannot get out to the Shops, to Internet Shop. I love Shopping it is for me "Retail Therapy" makes me feel Better, not Hubby as I drag him along, I'm on my Scooter some times, though try to Walk for the Exercise for the Lungs with my mate 02 on my Shoulder.
I recall many Years ago in a Small Supermarket(Spain) they knew me,(I was fit then), I had forgotten my Purse they said pay next time you come in. The same Lady on another occasion gave me too much Change (20 Euros)so I brought this to her attention, she must have had one of those days...I love interacting with Joe Public and like a Chat, Best chatty places are the Charity Shops, of which I love going to. There could be a Great Rhyme here Don. Many Thanks for all your Great Rhymes, Forum is so much Better for your Quips. Love n Hugs. xxxx
Thank you for those kind words. ๐ I'm a great believer in Retail Therapy but it doesn't work for me with groceries. I go when I know it will be busy so there's a chance of seeing or meeting someone interesting. I miss the big department stores where you could wander about the different departments ranging from food to furniture.
Haha! That happened to me once. Luckily the bank was nearby and I was able to get cash out of the hole in the wall. It was a long time ago when such things were new to us all and I used to pay by cheque - when I remembered to take the book with me! It also happened at a petrol station after I'd filled up. Had to get my husband to come and bail me out. I was in my thirties then. My excuse was that there was so much to remember for all the family that I had no head space left for me. Now I just have senior moments! xx Moy
Ah yes the perils of shopping loading the trolley, unloading at check out, unloading at home and putting it away. Time for coffee and a relax. Until next week again same story. Love your poems Don.
